The Social Network Community for Archivists 2.0: Connect & Share

I only started to use Google Wave yesterday, but I'm sure some of you have become real experts in 'waving' by now! ;-)

Does anyway know any good waves for archivists, archives or our patrons? Does anyone know good examples of the usage of Wave, that may inspire us? Best practices?

Besides these questions I heard that at least one small department of one city administration somewhere in the Netherlands is using Google Wave for work purposes already... so before we know it, waves need to be archived.

I'd love to hear your ideas and thoughts on this!

Well, I havn´t been waving a lot either, but I can easily see the potential of Wave as a tool for collaboration. Especially some of the gadgets (ability to vote, include maps etc.) seems interesting. I - and some museum colleagues - are planning af conference in Copenhagen next year, and we are thinking of trying Wave out as a tool for planning. But right now we are wainting for the others to get their invitations :-).

I have also joined a wave started by swedish genealogists, but at the moment our main discussion is .. how to use Wave for genealogical purposes.

But I´ll keep you all posted!

Just started using Google Wave so not totally 100% familiar with it yet, but from what I have gathered so far it should make archiving easier if people are using waves instead of emails because there is one wave instead of hundreds of copies of emails.

I think Wave is really a great product that it attempts to reinvent online communication by adding the collaboration element. We've started using it for some of our group discussions, it is so far so good. However, I think there are still a lot of work on Google's side to make Wave a successful product. As of now, there are too many bugs and errors.
